Ángel Salazar has sadly passed away.

The Scarface and Carlito’s Way actor and comedian died at the age of 68, his rep confirmed to People.

Ángel died on Sunday (August 11), and a cause of death has not been declared.

The actor, who had an enlarged heart, went to take a shower at a friend’s home in Brooklyn, where he was found in the bathroom, according to the rep.

He made his big-screen debut in Boulevard Nights and Walk Proud, before starring as Chi-Chi, a henchman of Tony Montana, in 1983′s classic Scarface.

He also starred in Punchline and 1993′s Carlito’s Way, apart from being an accomplished comedian in his own right.

He appeared in the 2006 documentary The Latin Legends of Comedy, as well as on Last Comic Standing and in various other comedy specials and series, including In Living Color and On Our Own.

His final film project was 2023′s The Gilbert Diaries: The Movie, although he had more than a dozen projects listed as upcoming.
