Ashley Eckstein’s Her Universe Plans ‘Wicked’ Fashion Show

Fashion brand Her Universe has partnered with Universal Pictures for its 11th annual fashion show, set to take place at San Diego Comic-Con in July.

The Her Universe Fashion Show 2025 Presented by Universal will celebrate the studio’s hit musical film adaptation Wicked and “the best in ‘pop-u-lar’ geek couture fashion.”

Her Universe, founded by actress Ashley Eckstein in 2010, is described as a “fandom fashion company and lifestyle brand.” The company aims to “cultivate a fandom-centric community powered by women to be authentically themselves and celebrate what they love by designing quality, fandom-centric, size-inclusive, stylish merchandise.” 

The event will feature designers from around the country taking part in the fashion show competition, with the ultimate prize of designing a special apparel collection with Her Universe. In celebration of Wicked, the theme will be “Defying Fashion: Fashion That Defies Expectations.” The audience will help choose one of the winners, along with an expert panel of judges. 

Eckstein, known for voicing Ahsoka Tano in multiple animated Star Wars series, will return as host of the 2025 fashion show.

“This is going to be our most AMAZAFYING show yet!” Eckstein said. “It is a dream come true to have Universal as our sponsor for this year’s event! After experiencing the first Wicked film in IMAX, I was so inspired both creatively and emotionally. I cannot wait to defy fashion on the runway at San Diego Comic-Con!”

Wicked, of course, was a box office and critical success. Released on Nov. 22, it earned $739 million at the worldwide box office and landed 10 Oscar nominations, including best picture. Stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande performed at the Oscars, where the film won the awards for costume design and production design. The second film, Wicked: For Good, hits theaters Nov. 21.
