Bengals’ biggest building block wouldn’t shock fans with breakout 2025

The Cincinnati Bengals boast plenty of building blocks on the roster.

When shuffling past big names like Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase while thinking about some of the younger players, a few guys could be around for a long, long time.

One is running back Chase Brown, the selection for Bleacher Report’s Moe Moton as Cincinnati’s most promising building block:

“Brown won’t be the focal point in a Burrow-led offense, but he can still be a key contributor because of his pass-catching ability. Last season, he caught 54 passes for 360 yards and four touchdowns.”

In addition to the receiving numbers, Brown ran for 990 yards and seven scores on a 4.3 average over 16 games last year. He’s also just 25 years old and will merely share some of the workload with either Samaje Perine or Zack Moss.

The Bengals have other encouraging building blocks to work around in 2025 and beyond. Right tackle Amarius Mims is one. They’d like to get more from first-round pass-rushers Myles Murphy and Shemar Stewart, too. High-end prospects litter the cornerback room, too, but have yet to pan out.

Right now, though, Brown is arguably the most surefire pick for the slot and looks ready for a huge 2025.
