Accessing emails, texts and phone calls right from your wrist is a huge convenience, but one that doesn’t come free. Apple makes some of the best smartwatches available, yet finding a deal can be tricky. The Apple Watch Ultra 2 is the latest model of the best Apple Watch in the lineup, and there are some small but notable deals if you know where to look. The earlier model Ultra is harder to find, as many outlets and carriers are no longer carrying it. But those that do often have discounts available.
Apple is in an ongoing legal battle with the US International Trade Commission over a patent dispute with a company called Masimo over its blood-oxygen sensor tech. That means Apple is no longer allowed to ship Apple Watches with the blood oxygen sensor enabled, so unless it’s specifically mentioned at the point of sale, your new Apple Watch won’t have it, unfortunately.
Both devices are ruggedized versions of Apple’s popular smartwatch with some added features for power users and athletes. The first-gen Apple Watch Ultra and the Apple Watch Ultra 2 aren’t too far apart in most specs, meaning you might be able to nab a deal on the original device before supplies run out, since it’s now been discontinued by Apple.

Best Apple Watch Ultra 2 Deals
Released in September 2023, the Apple Watch Ultra 2 is Apple’s most advanced smartwatch to date. While it maintains the overall design of its predecessor, it’s been upgraded with a new S9 chip for faster speeds and better battery efficiency, plus there’s a new extra-bright display.
Athletes will benefit from more advanced metrics for running and cycling, and extended altitude range is a boon for hikers and scuba divers. The battery life remains the longest in the Apple Watch lineup at 36 hours per charge or up to 72 hours in low-power mode.
Amazon has limited stock and modest discounts, but you can find a few size and color variants Apple Watch Ultra 2 for $20 less at $779.

Right now Best Buy is not offering a direct discount on the Apple Watch Ultra 2. But you can use Best Buy’s trade-in program to save as much as $275 off the Apple Watch Ultra 2. You can also trade in other similar devices, such as Garmin, Fitbit or Samsung smartwatches, though previous-gen Apple Watch models will score the biggest savings.
Buy two Apple Watch models and get $300 off at AT&T, no trade-in required. At least one new line is required and a qualifying installment plan is needed for both cellular devices. The $300 discount will be provided via bill credits.
Trade in your old smartwatch at Verizon for as much as $180 off an Apple Watch Ultra 2. An eligible service plan is required and you’ll see the trade-in credit applied over 36 months as bill credits.
T-Mobile is offering $250 off the Apple Watch Ultra 2 when you buy two. The deal requires at least one new line of service, and you’ll get the discount applied as credit over 24 monthly bills.
Target has the Apple Watch Ultra listed at full price, Target Circle members will get three free months of Apple Fitness Plus with purchase. Target RedCard holders can also save 5% on the purchase, which is good for $40 off.
While the savings aren’t dramatic, Walmart does have a couple variants of the Ultra 2 for $10 less than the regular price, bringing the price down to $789.
Best Apple Watch Ultra Deals
The first-gen Apple Watch Ultra has been discontinued by Apple, and most retailers have stopped stocking new models as well. Their pickings are slim when it comes to deals and direct discounts.
Target doesn’t have too much in the way of discounts, but right now if you go for the small 49mm with an orange band, it’s discounted by $50, bringing the total down to $649.
Though there aren’t any direct discounts for the Apple Watch Ultra itself, Best Buy has a trade-in program that allows you to trade in a similar device and save up to $275.
