The situation with Billy Ray Cyrus has taken another sad turn. His sons appear to be feuding online over concerns about Dad!
It started with Trace Cyrus’ claims the Achy Breaky Heart singer is “struggling” right now. As we’ve reported, following a disastrous performance at the Liberty Ball for Donald Trump’s inauguration earlier this week, Trace penned a heartbreaking letter to Billy Ray imploring him to seek help as he seemed “not healthy.” The 35-year-old musician even claimed he and his sisters Miley, Noah, and Brandi have been “genuinely worried” about their dad “for years.” Read his emotional plea (below):
While Trace did not say what Billy Ray is “struggling with,” this is not the first time we’ve heard he was not in a good place…

Last year, his ex-wife Firerose claimed he struggled with “persistent drug use accompanied with the consumption of marijuana,” which made him “unpredictable and volatile.” She even addressed the family’s concern about Billy Ray on Thursday, saying:
“What’s being seen in public now reflects much of what I experienced in private during our relationship. It’s very sad to see those same struggles continue for him, but I’m glad the truth is coming to light — for his potential good because healing is only possible when you confront the truth and accept there’s a problem.”
So… Trace, Miley, Brandi, Noah, and even Firerose all think Billy Ray still has a “problem.” But you know who doesn’t? Braison Cyrus.
On Friday, he took to Instagram Stories to announce a joint project with the Old Town Road artist and shut down Trace’s accusation that their father is unwell… right now. According to Braison, Billy Ray was hospitalized in the fall for a week. (The reason for his hospitalization was not mentioned.) However, Braison insists the patriarch is “healthy” at this time:
“I’ve spent the last year getting to know my dad better than I ever have. After he spent a week in the hospital in the fall, I’m grateful that my dad is happy, healthy and ready to make this record. It’s a rare opportunity to make something this special and tell my dad’s story through music. Can’t wait to finally share it.”

Trace doesn’t buy it! During a Q&A session on Instagram Stories, a fan asked about Braison’s post:
“Braison is posting your dad is happy and healthy. I’m confused?”
To which Trace replied:
“Birds of a feather flock together.”
Whoa. Is he suggesting Braison is also struggling with… something? Trace then posted a video of himself working out with the caption:
“This is what healthy looks like.”
He then teased Braison:
“Braison I can help you too. Damn. Man up boys.”
He then stooped to straight up mocking his brother! In follow-up slides, Trace shared a picture of his bro alongside a crying emoji and reminded everyone, “That’s my YOUNGER brother by the way..” Man, you are really losing the argument here.
It’s really upsetting to see these two fighting on social media… We thought Trace was concerned about his dad, but the more he goes on the attack the less it feels like compassion…
