Blake Lively Makes a Case for Extended Protective Order Amid Justin Baldoni Lawsuit, Judge Responds | Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni | Just Jared: Celebrity News and Gossip

Blake Lively‘s legal team made a case for a judge to grant additional limitations in the protective order amid their legal battle with Justin Baldoni.

Last month the 37-year-old actress requested “additional protections” to stop the leaking of private information and cited “violent, profane, sexist and threatening communications” that she and others close to her had received.

Her team requested that information be deemed for attorney’s eyes only. On Thursday (March 6), one of her layers explained the need for the additional measured during a court hearing.

According to reporting by Variety, Blake‘s attorney Meryl Governski argued that some information that arose from the lawsuits should not be shared beyond the attorneys.

“The parties in this case, on both sides, include people whose entire living is made off providing information to the press and content creators,” she argued. “There are 100 million reasons for these parties to leak information because the PR value is greater than complying with the court’s orders.”

She noted that there was information that could come to light about “high profile individuals,” which should not be made public knowledge.

During the hearing, the judge confirmed that they would make a decision “soon.” However, he implied that there would need to be some limitations to Blake‘s request if it was granted.

“A lot of what you are talking about is inherent in the nature of the case. If you sue a high-profile person in this industry, it’s going to get picked up by the press,” they said. “The stuff that’s highly relevant is going to end up being disclosed.”

Justin‘s lawyer Bryan Freedman called the request for additional protections “rather offensive.”

Earlier this week, Justin faced a setback amid the legal battle.
