Brooke Shields is revisiting the setting of her famous 1980 movie The Blue Lagoon!
The 59-year-old actress, alongside SNL alum David Spade, are set to star in FOX‘s Almost Paradise, a multi-camera sitcom from Modern Family‘s Danny Zuker and Aaron Kaplan’s Kapital Entertainment, via Deadline.
Here’s the logline: “Just your everyday, normal married couple facing all the everyday, normal challenges of being stranded on a desert Island for decades. Think Blue Lagoon, the family sitcom.”

The idea originated from a meeting between Brooke and Aaron. The two then approached David. Brooke also guest starred on his show Just Shoot Me!
There is a two-script order from Fox, but no official deals have been made just yet with the actors. They have been involved in the development and present at pitches.
If greenlit, they are expected to star as the lead characters whose names are Brooke and David, subject to availability.
