Chase & Savannah Chrisley Hit Back At Critics As Parents Todd & Julie Reconnect Outside Of Prison For First Time In 2 Years!

Chase and Savannah Chrisley have words for critics who are slamming their parents’ release from prison!
As we’ve been following, Todd and Julie Chrisley were given a presidential pardon after two years in jail following their tax evasion scandal.
Savannah went and picked up her dad Wednesday from prison in Florida and brought him back home to Tennessee to be reunited with his wife. She even gave us a little peek at their first time being together again on Instagram — though it was hard to tell as neither wanted to be seen before they could get their hair fixed! LOLz! See for yourself (below):
They seem ready to get back to their everyday lives! But their new normal after the Donald Trump pardon is probably going to involve a lot of identity politics…

Chase sat down with ET on Thursday and gave a little insight on life since his parents got home. He said their reunion was a very tearful one, and his parents haven’t “let go” of each other since being reunited:
“They both just burst into tears [when they saw each other]. My dad wrapped his arms around my mom, and I don’t think he’s let go. And I don’t think he’ll ever let go.”
That’s sweet enough. But the interviewer then threw a curveball question the 28-year-old’s way. He was asked how his family plans to clear their name after this entire controversy:
“As far as I’m concerned, our family’s name has been cleared with a presidential pardon.”
That’s not how pardons work, of course. It’s actually a declaration of responsibility on the part of the criminal — and forgiveness by the state. So they’re explicitly acknowledging their names are not cleared by taking the pardon. Not to mention, it’s not like it makes the conviction go away.
Not that Chase cares. His message to those people who “don’t believe” the Chrisleys have been cleared? He said:
“You saw the outcome. So, we’ll pray for you.”
Okie doke! See his full interview (below):
Savannah herself had a lot to say — especially about “misconceptions” regarding how she was able to fight for her parents’ freedom. During a press conference on Friday, the 27-year-old told the media:
“The biggest misconception right now is I either paid for a pardon or slept for a pardon. If people knew the countless hours, the money, and the time that I spent doing to DC, with not a meeting scheduled, and got on a plane and said, ‘I’m going to be in the right room at the right time and meet the right people.’”
Sorry, wait, WHAT?! Who thought she slept with someone for a pardon?? Or paid? No, that one guy’s mom paid for a pardon with her million dollar donation. We’re pretty sure the consensus on Savannah is that she paid in service — you know, being a celebrity cheerleader for MAGA? They say they hate when celebs get political, but even D-listers like Kevin Sorbo and Scott Baio get White House invites, so they clearly are happy about any stars showing them love.
Anyway, Savannah wants everyone to know what she did was NOT easy! Just because she’s wealthy and privileged doesn’t mean it was writing a check:
“I have fought hard and I was exhausted and I begged for meetings. I was never too good to ask and that’s the thing. People think, you’re a celebrity, you’re white, you have money, that we got an upper hand, but we didn’t. I had to fight, and I was relentless, and that’s how it happened.”
In the meantime, it seems like Todd and Julie are hunkering down and possibly preparing to make their return to reality TV very soon.
