Cyberpunk 2077 is a Switch 2 launch title

Night City is coming to Nintendo, with the news that Cyberpunk 2077 will be a Switch 2 launch title.
Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition, to give it its full name, will be arriving on Switch 2 on 5th June. “We look forward to welcoming Nintendo players into the neon lights and firefights of Night City,” the Cyberpunk 2077 team wrote on social media.
Cyberpunk 2077 first released in a somewhat sorry state back in 2020. The game’s release was marred with glitches and bugs so extreme, Sony even went so far as to delist Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation Store. According to CDPR’s VP of PR and communication Michał Platkow-Gilewski, it actually became “a cool thing not to like it” after its release.
Since then, though, the game has had a massive turnaround in player opinion and popularity, with a bumper 2.0 update and an Idris Elba-starring expansion known as Phantom Liberty impressing fans.
In October 2023, CDPR announced it had shifted 25m copies of Cyberpunk 2077, while Phantom Liberty sold 3m copies in its first week of launch. A sequel is now in development.
Along with Cyberpunk 2077, Hazelight’s Split Fiction will also be a Switch 2 launch title, as will the next entry in the Mario Kart series, now officially known as Mario Kart World.
Other titles also confirmed for the platform include Elden Ring, Hollow Knight: Silksong, IOI’s James Bond game and Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, although these won’t be available on the console’s release.
