Dax Shepard, Eric Dane Once Almost Fought at AA Meeting

“He goes, ‘If you hit that timer again, I’m gonna f–king throw you in that candle,’” the Parenthood actor continued. “And I go, ‘That’s it, motherf–ker. Stand up, let’s go outside.’ He stands up, we go outside and I’m about to beat the f–k out of him—at an AA meeting, where we’re coming for healing and understanding.”

And while tensions were high at the time, the two eventually saw eye to eye and “became friends” after that.

This isn’t the first time Dax—dad to daughters Lincoln, 11, and Delta, 10, with wife Kristen Bell—has addressed the near-altercation, as he and Eric previously detailed their mindset at the time.

“I was not in the best space, let’s just say that,” the Euphoria star—who shares daughters Billie Dane, 15, and Georgia Dane, 13, with wife Rebecca Gayheart—explained during the Armchair Expert podcast last September. “I may not have even been sober at the time. So we’re outside and Dax is like, ‘What the f–k was that about, man?’ And just as I’m about to open my mouth, our sponsor comes out and gets in between the middle of us.”
