Britney Spears Apologizes For Smoking On Plane — But Claims Flight Attendant Got Her In Trouble To ‘Embarrass’ Her!

Britney Spears addressed all the trouble she caused on a flight back to the States this week!

As we previously reported, the 43-year-old pop star was on a private plane from Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, to LAX with her security team when she started drinking and smoking on the aircraft. Lighting up a cigarette is not allowed, even on private jets, due to safety concerns. Several TMZ sources said the flight attendants were “alarmed” by Britney’s behavior and asked her to put the cigarette out, which she did. However, the authorities were called because the singer was incredibly “difficult” during the flight. Once the plane landed, officials gave Britney a warning.

Now, the Overprotected artist is speaking out about the whole ordeal… and she is sort of taking accountability for her actions. While Britney is sorry about lighting up in the middle of the flight, she claims she is not solely to blame for everything! She took to Instagram on Friday night to post a video of herself on the plane with a caption that read:

“Me yesterday !!! It’s actually incredibly funny !!! Some planes I’ve been on you can’t smoke mostly but this one was different because the drink holders were on outside of seat !!! Confession it was my first time drinking VODKA!!! I swear I felt so SMART !!! I was like wow what the heck is in there !!! I felt so clear and smart !!! And said I want a cigarette so bad !!!”

We doubt the flight attendants thought what happened was “incredibly funny”…

The Princess of Pop then claimed her pal “put it in my mouth and lit it up” for her, so she thought, “THIS IS A PLANE WHERE YOU CAN SMOKE.” However, she soon realized she wasn’t on that kind of aircraft. Britney apologized for smoking — but went on to claim the flight attendant didn’t like her and only made a big deal out of the whole situation to “embarrass” her:

“I do so apologize to anyone I offended but the flight attendants always make sure I’m way at the back of plane anyways !!! I thought officials greeted me as support and I was like WOW I feel special !!! I’ve never been to an international airport !!! Am I famous or something ??? The flight attendant called officials because I smoked a cigarette !!! And embarrass me which jeez I thought was kinda much but she didn’t like me the moment I got on plane !!! Nobody was on the plane for first 20 minutes and she wouldn’t let me get out of my seat I wanted to stand up !!! She acted so weird about making sure I sat down and it was weird !!! I didn’t like the way she put the seatbelt on me and invaded my space !!!”
