Diddy's Lawyers Demand Mistrial Over Destroyed Evidence Claim!

Diddy’s lawyers just took a shot at getting him off. For a bit anyway.
During Day 11 of litigation in the Bad Boy Records founder’s sex trafficking trial, Diddy’s lead attorney Marc Agnifilo called for a mistrial! Why? It was after the prosecution made an “outrageous” implication about some destroyed evidence… Specifically relating to the Kid Cudi car bombing.
As we’ve been following, Cudi’s car caught fire in 2012 shortly after Diddy found out he was in a romance with Cassie. It was pretty insane — seemingly done with a molotov cocktail.

As Cassie previously revealed in court filings, Diddy allegedly TOLD her he was going to blow up Cudi’s car. But it’s never been proven that he did it… Partially because some of the fingerprint evidence was destroyed.

On Wednesday, the prosecuting attorneys questioned arson investigator Lance Jimenez, who led the investigation surrounding Cudi’s car. According to him, the fingerprint evidence found on a molotov cocktail near the car was destroyed without his knowledge in 2012 — per orders from the Los Angeles Police Department.
Agnifilo did NOT like the sound of what he was hearing, as he argued it “implied that someone in this courtroom” — Diddy, obviously — “was responsible for the destruction of the fingerprint cards.” We mean, someone could certainly make that inference if they had other evidence of Diddy’s power and reach. But we wouldn’t say on its own the statement is very finger-pointing.
In any case, Diddy’s team asked for a mistrial — and got immediately denied. Judge Arun Subramanian instead took the much more prudent move of striking the question and Jimenez’s answers from the record, telling the jury to disregard the information.
No luck this time, Diddy. Inneresting though… Thoughts??
