DJ Cassidy’s Nostalgia-Infused ‘Pass The Mic!’ Hip-Hop Residency To Rock Las Vegas

DJ Cassidy is set to present a one-of-a-kind performance featuring hip-hop legends Slick Rick, Doug E. Fresh, Public Enemy, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Too $hort, Ja Rule, and more in a boom bap medley.

This summer, DJ Cassidy will bring their nostalgia-infused Pass The Mic Live! medleys to Las Vegas, highlighting some of hip-hop culture’s most esteemed class acts. Ja Rule, Fat Joe, Slick Rick, and Doug E. Fresh will headline alongside DJ Cassidy in the Las Vegas residency. Over the course of six nights, they will be joined by Public Enemy, Akon, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Jermaine Dupri, Da Brat, Too $hort, and Warren G for a one-time performance featuring a melange of boom bap classics.

Taking place in Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, the performances will kick off on July 5 and continue on July 6, 12, 13, 19, and 20. The residency is presented by Live Nation and Caesars Entertainment

Fresh and I will unite to create an experience that will go down in Vegas history.”

The Pass The Mic Live! series has been featured in several nationwide television specials, including the Soul Train Awards and BET Awards, highlighting luminaries such as Chaka Khan, Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight, Earth, Wind & Fire, and Nile Rodgers. It also includes hip-hop legends like Melle Mel, Public Enemy, Run DMC, Salt-N-Pepa, Big Daddy Kane, Method Man, Redman, and Remy Ma, songstresses Gloria Gaynor, Jody Watley, Kelly Rowland, along with reggae stars like Shaggy, Super Cat, and Sean Paul. With a total of 220 artists representing 40 years of timeless jams, the medleys have collectively garnered over 54 million views on YouTube to date.
