Facts Of Life Alum Mindy Cohn Says A ‘Greedy Bitch’ Co-Star Ruined Revival Series & 40-Year Friendship!

Mindy Cohn has BEEF with one of her Facts of Life co-stars!

While appearing on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live on Wednesday, the 58-year-old talked about 2021’s live version of The Facts of Life, which starred Jennifer Aniston, Gabrielle Union, Kevin Hart, and others. Mindy, who starred in the OG sitcom in the 70s and 80s, said it ended up being WAY more popular than any of the producers, including late creator Norman Lear, would have expected.

So before he passed away last year, Mindy said he called up the original cast, which included Lisa Whelchel, Kim Fields, Nancy McKeon, and others, and said:

“I knew you guys were still popular but holy hell.”

Mindy revealed Norman asked them if they’d be “interested” in coming back for a revival, which the Palm Royale star said she and her co-stars had never really talked about before — but that they “all started to consider it.” She recalled:

“We got into talks and we hired a writer, and the four of us got together on Zooms, this was during COVID, and we had meetings with Norman about it.”

But obviously, the revival never came together — for a shady reason, as it turns out! Mindy says what happened was “not cute” as one of the cast members started “drama.” Basically what happened, as Mindy put it, was that “one of the girls” went behind the rest of the cast’s back to “try to make a separate deal for a spinoff just for herself,” which “devastated” everyone who was game for an ensemble revival. She explained:

“I’m just saying, for a 40-year ‘friendship and sisterhood,’ it was a tidal wave of emotion around it.”

Messed up!

Mindy went on to call the mystery cast member a “greedy bitch,” and made it clear that talks for the revival are now “dead”:

“A couple of people can’t move past it — don’t want to move past it. We are not as united, let me put it that way, we were united for 40 years over not talking about each other, over not doing dirty, you know, all for one, one for all. And this kind of wrecked that, which is sad.”

Mindy declined to spill which cast member it was, but she did offer some clues. The biggest might be from a few months ago though! Remember, all this happened three years back. And she said they’re still not in a good place, right?

Well, who wasn’t at this Fact of Life reunion on The Drew Barrymore Show five months ago?? Just sayin’…

Again, Mindy, for her part, would not name names. But she did say there’s “no trust” anymore. She added:

“Some people are so desperate for either money or fame that it causes them to do things that to me, I guess I’m still not that jaded, it shocks me. It always just kind of shocks me. You’re going to do that over money? Or that over becoming famous? Like, it always just kind of freaks me out.”
