Fortunate Star 2024 god roll in Destiny 2

Fortunate Star is Destiny 2’s new Void bow, added as part of the Solstice 2024 holiday event. It’s a Lightweight Frame combat bow with a default draw time of 612, and has some pretty fun perk combos.

In this Destiny 2 guide, we’ll go over how to get Fortunate Star and what perks we consider the “god roll” in both PvE and PvP.

Note: After August 27, Fortunate Star will be unavailable until at least Solstice 2025.

How to get Fortunate Star in 2024

You can get Fortunate Star as a reward for completing the Bonfire Bash activity and earning Solstice packages. Basically, if you’re participating in the event at all, you’ll see multiple drops for Fortunate Star and all the older Solstice weapons.

Fortunate Star 2024 PvE God Roll

Fortunate Star has some fun combinations on it, including the Void-specific combo of Repulsor Brace and Destabilizing Rounds. However, we’re going to go for a more unique combo: Archer’s Tempo and Archer’s Gambit. These two perks together drastically reduce your draw time, leading to a super fun bow that fires very quickly if you can be accurate.

Fortunate Star PvP God Roll

In PvP, bows are swap weapons. The idea is to deal damage with Fortunate Star, quickly swap to another weapon like a Kinetic hand cannon, and finish your target off. Because of this, we’ll want high handling, great target acquisition, and a faster initial draw time on Fortunate Star.
