General Hospital’s Eva LaRue Exits Show Amid Fan Hatred 

Natalia Ramirez has said goodbye to Port Charles.

After a year on General Hospital, Eva LaRue exited the soap opera, taking her final bow on the June 30 episode when her character Natalia ingested a combination of pills and alcohol.

Alongside a screenshot with the official news of her departure, Eva wrote, “A Huge Thank You To #GeneralHospital For A Lovely Run.”

Lovely for her but for fans, not so much. After all, many disagreed with her storyline, which saw Natalia criticizing the sexuality of her daughter Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) and getting romantically involved with Sonny (Maurice Benard).

“I was originally only supposed to be on the show for a couple of months,” Eva told Soap Opera Digest in an interview published June 30. “And it ended up being a much longer run, which was great—and really fun because there are so many All My Children actors there and so it felt like home.”
