The White Lotus‘ Sam Nivola is giving a little insight into the creation of the Ratliff family from season three!

If you don’t know, the family features hyper sexual Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger), younger brother Lochlan (Nivola) and college student Piper (Sarah Catherine Hook). There’s also parents Victoria (Parker Posey) and Timothy (Jason Isaacs).

Apparently, creator Mike White told some of the Ratliff family actors to watch the Bravo series Southern Charm to get the vibe and accents correct.

“Mike told us to go watch Southern Charm,” Sam told People. “In fact, Jason Isaacs, who played our dad, kind of modeled his whole accent and character off of [that cast].”

Sarah didn’t have to do any research for her accent or anything. She shared, “I’m from Alabama. I found out through you guys [that Mike White made that request]. I was like, ‘He didn’t tell me to watch Southern Charm! I’m feeling left out.’”

About how close the three sibling actors got during filming in Thailand, Sarah added, “We’re like the Three Amigos! The three of us got very, very, very close and I’m so thankful for them. We had the best time together.”
