One of the contestants from The Golden Bachelor is revealing the reason Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist ended their marriage after only a few weeks.
The pair met on the ABC reality dating TV show and got married a few months after the finale aired in January 2024. By April 2024, they had announced they were divorcing.
On SiriusXM‘s The Jess Cagle Show with Julia Cunningham, Susan Noles, one of the contestants on Gerry‘s season, gave her insight into what went down behind the scenes.

Susan said, “I’ve gotta support this man a little bit. I feel like he got the wrong end of it. Theresa decided not to move and not to quit her job. He got frustrated. Who can blame him? I mean, I would’ve never said I would move to that place wherever that is in the middle of nowhere.”
“I think they got caught up in the moment. We watched them fall in love. They bonded that first night, on that date. It was real,” she added.

Theresa is based in New Jersey and still wanted to keep working at her job as a financial services professional. Gerry lives in a rural town in Indiana and is retired.
