Google Celebrates ‘Amaya Papaya’ After Winning Love Island USA

It’s raining papayas over at Google … literally!

Following the season finale of Love Island USA on Sunday night, the search engine is celebrating winners Bryan Arenales and Amaya Espinal, the latter of whom became a fan-favorite throughout the season and earned the nickname “Amaya Papaya” from viewers.

When users search “Amaya Papaya” on Google (via the mobile web and desktop), they will see a hidden surprise — papayas falling from the tops of their screens — celebrating the beloved season seven Islander.

Though Amaya struggled to find a romantic connection initially in the Love Island USA villa, fans quickly fell in love with her genuine personality, songwriting abilities and iconic metaphors (“If I’m not your cup of tea, don’t fucking drink it”). She later started getting to known Bryan, who entered the show during Casa Amor.

After winning, Amaya told host Ariana Madix, “I feel like I’m flying in the sky right now. I just feel so seen and validated, and for people to see how powerful our connection is. I would do this ride all over again if it led me to him.” Bryan added, “Meeting Amaya here has turned my experience around ridiculously. I’m so thankful to meet this person, and I’d do this experience 100 times over.”

Before being crowned the winners, Bryan and Amaya went on their final date on the show. The duo shared a romantic evening, looking through an album of photos from their childhood as well as their time together on the Peacock series. The date ended with them dancing together, with huge smiles spread across both their faces.

Following the winning couple, Nic and Olandria were the runners-up, followed by Chris and Huda (who actually ended their romance during their final date) and Pepe and Iris.

All of Love Island USA season seven is currently streaming on Peacock, and check out THR‘s interviews with Madix and narrator Iain Stirling.
