Hades 2’s next big early access update is here

Supergiant Games published its second major update for Hades 2 on PC, which is still in early access. The Warsong Update brings players to the summit of Mount Olympus for what it describes as “the final confrontation.” Notably, this update adds Ares, the god of war, to Hades 2, plus numerous extras, from a new animal companion, more story and voice lines, revamped boons, Altar of Ashes, resource gathering, and improved menus.
Speaking to the development process, Supergiant Games said in a post that it’s already got plans for its third big update, which is expected “some months from now.” The developer also said it’s too early to discuss when Hades 2 will exit early access and get its official, full release date.
“Early Access continues to be an essential part of Hades II development, and we hope you can feel this reflected in our Major Updates and other patches so far,” Supergiant Games said. “With the core structure of both the Underworld and Surface routes now fully intact, we’re excited to turn our attention to filling out more of the game’s content categories, finishing more and more of what we started… until we’re done!”
The Hades 2 Warsong Update is free. Supergiant Games said players may need to restart Steam to begin the download process.
