Heathers the Musical originally opened in New York City back in 2014 and closed after just a few months, but has since gained a cult following and is beloved by young audiences around the world.

After countless successful productions around the world over the past decade, Heathers is finally returning to New York with a new Off-Broadway production featuring an exciting cast.

The 2025 revival of Heathers the Musical just began performances at New World Stages featuring Lorna Courtney as Veronica Sawyer, Casey Likes as JD, McKenzie Kurtz as Heather Chandler, Elizabeth Teeter as Heather McNamara, and Olivia Hardy as Heather Duke.

Here’s the synopsis: “Welcome to Westerberg High, where popularity is a matter of life and death, and Veronica Sawyer is just another of the nobodies dreaming of a better day. But when she’s unexpectedly taken under the wings of the three beautiful and impossibly cruel Heathers, her dreams of popularity finally start to come true. That is until JD, the mysterious teen rebel, teaches her that it might kill to be a nobody, but it is murder being a somebody…”
