Here’s How to Submit to BA’s Gear of the Year for 2025

We spend all year putting new cookware, cooking tools, and appliances to the test in our homes and in the BA Test Kitchen—roasting, poaching, slicing, dicing, air-frying, and more in order to find the kitchen products worthy of your counter space. And this year, for the first time, we’re rolling out the red carpet for the year’s best new releases: In fall 2025, we’re launching BA’s Gear of the Year awards.

As shopping and reviews editors, we’re always on the lookout for great new versions of the tools every home cook needs. But to make sure we leave no stone unturned, we’re asking brands to submit products for consideration. Scroll down to see which products are eligible and how to nominate them.

How to submit your product to Bon Appétit’s Gear of the Year Awards

Eligibility:

Products should have been released no earlier than January 2024 and available for purchase by October to December 2025 at the latest.

This year we are accepting nominations only in the below categories.

Process and timeline:

Submissions are due by August 22.

We ask that brands submit no more than four products for consideration using this form.

Samples should be available for editors to test by August 22. We will reach out to ask for the samples we need (note that we may not call in products we’ve already tested or have at home); to avoid waste in shipping, we ask that brands do not send us unsolicited products.

Gear of the Year will launch in fall 2025.
