Moved into a 1b1b apartment today and couldn’t be more thankful for the place to call my own finally.

Rent will kick my ass for the first six months as I don’t have established credit. I’m paying last month’s rent and an increased rate security deposit over the next six months. $600 more for the next half year than I would otherwise be.

I’ll have little breathing room until April and I’ll struggle to fill the apartment with furniture. I’m just happy to call somewhere my own. I’m glad I’m not homeless anymore and I can sleep when I want, eat when I want, pee when I want, shower WHEN I WANT. Words can’t express how monumental this is for me.

Everything in the photo is all I have to my name at the moment. I’m going to be sleeping on the floor for the foreseeable future but I’m going to get a mattress and furniture as soon as I can. It will just take time. Two thirds of my income post-tax will be going towards this apartment until April. That’s not even counting bills. I make enough I can pay for it all, but there’s very little breathing room left.

Definitely gotta get furniture soon tho, it’s crazy echoey in here lol.
