Pinch yourselves, folks. As much as it might feel miraculous that a movie as idiosyncratic, complex, and inclusive as “Love Lies Bleeding” actually exists and received a wide release, rest assured: It’s real, and it’s spectacular. And there’s even more good news, too. While the film continues to play in theaters and has now been made available to rent or purchase digitally, A24 is already gearing up for its home media release. According to the studio, fans will be able to relive all the blood-soaked, musclebound messiness on DVD and Blu-ray starting on June 4, 2024. But wait, there’s more!
As an A24 release, a joint agreement with Warner Bros. Discovery (as /Film previously covered here) means that viewers will be able to stream “Love Lies Bleeding” at no extra cost … presuming they’re subscribed to Max, of course. No official streaming date has been announced just yet, but the movie starring Kristen Stewart, Katy O’Brian, Jena Malone, Anna Baryshnikov, Dave Franco, and Ed Harris will eventually join other recent A24 titles currently streaming on Max, such as “The Zone of Interest,” “Dream Scenario,” “Priscilla,” and more. For now, fans can hit the gym in anticipation of catching the highs and lows of “Love Lies Bleeding” all over again from the comforts of home.
