I Own 5 Duvet Covers, but This Linen Style Is My Only Go-To for Summer

Despite the fact that I once owned just a single duvet cover and slept exclusively on under-$50 sheets, I’ve upgraded my bedding game in the last year. I now swear by 500 thread count percale cotton and have a monthly rotation of duvets for every season and all of my moods.

While I don’t necessarily discriminate based on material (I own bamboo fabrics too), Riley Home’s Linen Duvet Cover has quickly become my go-to for summer thanks to its cooling design and moisture-wicking properties that keep me comfortable and dry all night long. And right now, you can save 20 percent with code RILEYSALE20 at checkout.

The linen duvet cover, which I received in the light and airy white shade, instantly brightened up my bedroom that lacks natural lighting. It has a crisp look unlike other linen styles that wrinkle easily, and it feels expensive to the touch. The duvet comes in four other colors, including gray, sand, heather navy, and a blush pink, and three sizes: twin/twin XL, full/queen, and king/California king. Shoppers are big fans of it too, as sizes and colors are selling out quickly.

The material is a Euroflax Belgian linen face with a cotton percale reverse so you get the look of linen with the comfort of percale. It feels lightweight, cooling, and comfortable while still providing enough warmth on cool nights. And while I’ve dealt with pilling and other laundry issues with bedding in the past, this duvet cover only gets softer and cozier after the first wash. According to the brand, that continues to be the case after each cycle.

While I don’t typically characterize myself as a hot sleeper, my current bedroom is removed enough from windows and my air conditioning unit that it gets a little warmer than I would like. The percale underside is so cooling, I no longer wake up in the middle of the night to toss the covers aside.

Customers were similarly impressed with the percale-linen combo duvet. In fact, one shopper called the combination “so perfect,” that they were “surprised no other companies offer this design feature,” adding that the “percale side is smooth and cool” while the “linen is warmer by comparison and softer than expected.” Another person said that it’s the “best linen duvet cover” they’ve “ever owned” thanks to its “soft and light” material that keeps them “cool in the summer.”
