I Visited Nantucket—These Pieces Will Give You the New England Style

Visiting different locales is a great way to get some fashion inspo to get out of a style rut. That’s one thing I love about traveling—seeing how people dress in other cities and countries always helps me get creative with my wardrobe. I recently returned from a trip to Nantucket, and the island is chock full of summer style inspiration. So naturally, I did some online shopping to find the best pieces that will give you the coastal look. 

To get the style, think nautical stripes, breezy dresses, and linen pants and blouses. Though Nantucket is an island, the temperature tends to drop when the sun goes down (it is New England, after all), so you’ll need light layers, like cardigans and crewneck sweaters, too. Linen pants are a great option for chilly summer nights when you want a little extra coverage but something light enough to get through the heat of the day. This pair has a mid-rise elasticized waistband with a drawstring to adjust the fit, as well as front and back pockets that provide plenty of room to hold your belongings if you don’t want to carry a purse. In addition to the lightweight linen and rayon fabric, the pants also have a comfy wide-leg design that allows for airflow and a chic look.

Being near the water means you can expect a lot of wind, so having layering pieces is essential.
