Spotify was experiencing widespread technical issues Wednesday, as thousands of users reported problems accessing the streaming service.
As of 9:16 am ET, more than 40,000 users had logged complaints with uptime-monitoring site Downdetector.com about Spotify, indicating they were have issues with the Spotify app and website.
The official Spotify Status account on X indicated the company is aware of the problems. “We’re aware of some issues right now and are checking them out!” the account posted at 8:45 a.m. ET.
