Did Selena Gomez just get caught doing drugs??
The Only Murders in the Building star came under fire over the weekend when a fan account resurfaced a photo of the actress posted by her pal Raquelle Stevens. In the pic, the friends hug while sitting on the edge of a chair with letter balloons behind them. Just off to the side on a black table appear to be two white powdery lines — which most social media users took as evidence of Selly G doing coke!

The person reposting the pics pointed out:
“THE LINES ON THE TABLE??!!!”
Wait, doesn’t that say “Happy 30th”? Selly turns 33 in July, so this pic is pretty damn old. But that didn’t stop literally hundreds of thousands of fans on X (Twitter) liking the post! And commenting, too — as far as these folks were concerned, Selly was guilty until proven innocent:
“When are people going to realize that all of their favorite celebrities are high off their asses?”
“oh snowlena”
“don’t worry.. it’s OBVIOUSLY just her lupus meds.. they leave white lines like that when they’re left on a black table for too long”
“Selena doing coke after stealing Francia [Raisa]’s kidney is insane..”
“Francia should sue omg”
Yeesh!
As for those last two comments, that’s a reference to the fact the How I Met Your Father star gave the Disney alum a kidney to help her during her lupus battle. Selena has often been criticized for drinking since the surgery — especially when it became clear the ex-BFFs had a falling out after the life-saving transplant. And if she was doing drugs now…
But was this even coke?? Nope!
First off, again, remember this photo was actually resurfaced from nearly three years ago when Raquelle was wishing the now 32-year-old a happy 30th birthday. So someone had to dig for this to try to make Selena look bad.
But an eagle-eyed fan also squashed the drug speculation by sharing an image from the hotel room the friends were seemingly in — which gives a much better angle at those white lines!
According to the fan, the duo were in The Prestige King Suite at the Baccarat Hotel & Residences in New York, and under closer inspection, there is a large black marble table with several white markings on it! They’re the veins on the marble! Black with white veins! So yeah, they look like white lines, often in a row like that.
The same fan also pointed out this isn’t the only time a celeb has been accused of doing drugs because of the table! They added:
“It’s literally the same hotel that Kim [Kardashian] stayed at and they accused of her doing coke cause of those same line. Like the guy said it’s marble table. think a little before you reacted”

Soooo, this was all about nothing?? Of course. LOLz!
While many are satisfied with the marble answer, not everyone is convinced. Plenty of commenters blasted the explanation as a weak defense. Seems like they were just determined to criticize Selena, and wouldn’t take “no blow” for an answer. What do YOU think? Sound OFF in the comments (below).
