Billy Ray Cyrus just extended a big olive branch to Miley Cyrus! But… maybe he wants her to use it to pull him out of the quicksand he’s trapped in?
This week, the pop star announced her new album and film, Something Beautiful, will be out on May 30. It looks like it’s going to be an epic new chapter for her career — just look at the amazing teaser she dropped on Tuesday:

Her lil sis Noah Cyrus is also embarking on a new musical era after having just dropped her latest track, Don’t Put It All On Me, last week with Fleet Foxes. The song is about complicated family dynamics — like that love triangle between her mother Tish Cyrus and her new stepdad Dominic Purcell.
A lot is going on for the Cyrus girls — and the Achy Breaky Heart crooner couldn’t be happier!! Billy Ray praised his daughters on Instagram by sharing a side-by-side photo of them on Tuesday, gushing:
“Holy s**t . I seldom ever swear in my post but this deserves one! You are witnessing in real time what it feels like for a Dad who with in less than one weeks time has had his ass kicked and his mind blown by not one …but two of his own daughters @mileycyrus @noahcyrus . Flesh and blood … completely taking their art to a whole new level . Congratulations girls ! Well done. I’m so damn proud of both of you. I’m actually crying as I write this. Thank God you can’t see me. Have fun now and be happy ! Love Dad”

Miley has reportedly been feuding with her father ever since his 2022 divorce from her momma Tish, who Miley sided with. Then, of course, after Billy Ray’s concerning performance at the Trump Inauguration, the father-daughter rift was brought back into the forefront when brother Trace Cyrus claimed:
“Me and the girls have been genuinely worried about you for years but you’ve pushed us all away. Noah desperately has wanted you to be a part of her life and you haven’t even been there for her. That’s your baby girl. She deserves better. Somehow just like me she still idolizes you though.”
Despite the unfortunate accusations, Noah has seemed to turn the corner. She cheered on her dad’s new single Lost in her IG Story last month, writing:
“So proud of my Dads INCREDIBLE new single LOST with my good, old friends [Sam Tinnesz] and [Tommee Profitt]
”
He replied by thanking her for the “lovely post.” So, it seems like maybe they aren’t so estranged anymore. Miley has been a harder one to crack — though she did like Billy Ray’s social media post congratulating her for winning a Grammy with Beyoncé last month. A sign of hope! Maybe she’ll also throw this post some love?? We’ll have to keep our eyes peeled…
