Mom Kills 6-Year-Old Son In Exorcism Gone Wrong

[Warning: Potentially Triggering Content]
A Florida mom is responsible for the death of her young son… after attempting to perform an exorcism on him!
On May 30, St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office deputies reported to the Fort Pierce home of Rhonda Paulynice for a welfare check. According to the police department, 6-year-old Ra’Myl Pierre had not been to school since May 14. They soon discovered the unbelievable reason why…
When the deputies arrived at Paulynice’s home, she was standing in the driveway and ultimately guided them into her residence. She then took the officers into the little boy’s bedroom, where he was “deceased, lying on his bed” wrapped in cloth with only his face exposed.
According to an arrest affidavit obtained by multiple outlets, Paulynice informed the cops she attempted to “exorcise demons out of” her son after “God/Father” told her to do so. She told the cops she had noticed changes in her young son “and believed him to be controlled by a ‘spirit’ and by an ‘enemy.’” The 41-year-old claimed she placed her hand over her son’s mouth and held it there despite him kicking, screaming, and fighting for his life — because she believed if she continued to do so the “demons” would be vanquished.
So incredibly awful.

According to police, Paulynice “acknowledged that she knew he had died, and she freed him of a spirit he had in him.” However, she was waiting for him to come back to life. St. Lucie County Sheriff Richard Del Toro explained:
“In speaking with the mother, she believed she was being told by God to basically exorcise demons out of the child’s body. When the child had stopped moving and basically passed away, at that point, she felt the child had been released of those demons and was waiting for him to basically come back at that time.”
She reportedly even told one officer “she just hasn’t ‘put him back in school’” yet. She really believed this.
Per the affidavit, “Paulynice made references to ‘resetting her life’ and she stated she was put in a position where she had to ‘take her son’s life.’” She apparently checked on her son’s lifeless body daily, but investigators observed she appeared “indifferent to her son’s death, the role she played in his death or her actions of not reporting his death.”

Arrest records claim Paulynice kept her sunglasses on inside the home throughout the entire police interaction and while “she appeared distraught, it did not appear sincere.” Sheriff Del Toro added in a press conference:
“Our hearts go out to the family and friends of Ra’Myl Pierre during this incredibly difficult time. We remain committed to uncovering the full truth about what happened. While the autopsy did not contradict the mother’s account, we are awaiting toxicology results and continuing a thorough investigation. We urge anyone with information to come forward.”
He added:
“From what I understand, this kid just lit the room up, and was loved by everybody.”
Heartbreaking.
Police believe the child died on May 18 — just one day after they previously reported to Paulynice’s home for a “medical issue,” according to Del Toro.
The mother was arrested on May 30 and charged with second-degree murder, failure to report a death, and willfully touching or moving the body, clothing or any article upon or near the body. She’s being held on a $150,000 bond.
What a horrific story. May Ra’Myl Pierre rest in peace.
