Jelly Roll Earns Two New Hot 100 Hits Simultaneously

Only a few years ago, Jelly Roll was likely dreaming about reaching the Hot 100. It’s not easy for newcomers to break onto Billboard’s ranking of the most-consumed songs in the U.S., and earning more than one win is even tougher. He’s not far removed from being a relative unknown, but in only a short span of time, Jelly has become a superstar–and his rise to fame is on full display on the chart at the moment.

This week, Jelly earns not one, but two new Hot 100 hits. A pair of tracks with his name attached debut on the tally this time around, and they are both welcome wins for a musician who is still introducing himself to the American masses.

Jelly’s new single “I Am Not Okay” launches highest among his new hits. That tune debuts at No. 30, earning the second-loftiest opening of the frame among all acts.

“I Am Not Okay” marks Jelly’s fifth top 40 hit on the Hot 100. It’s already his third-highest-charting single on the roster, and it’s just getting started. In the coming weeks, the tune could easily climb, especially if it’s picked up at radio across the country.

All the way at the bottom of the Hot 100, Jelly collects another smash, and he’s not alone in that instance. The Grammy-nominated artist joins country musician Dustin Lynch on his cut “Chevrolet,” which finally breaks onto the ranking and lands at No. 100.

Jelly has now scored nine Hot 100-charting tracks throughout his career. He ups that sum significantly this week, as a pair of new placements now represents more than 20% of his total.

Impressively, his two new hits only represent half of Jelly’s current appearances on the Hot 100. The rock, rap, and country artist fills four spaces this time around, as two of his recent successes are still holding on.

“Wild Ones” with Jessie Murph dips one space to No. 56. That single previously topped out at No. 35. A little further down on the ranking comes “Halfway to Hell,” which is quickly falling. Last frame, that tune sat higher than “Wild Ones,” but now it’s slipped to No. 75.
