The 56-year-old Friends star will lead a series inspired by Jennette‘s 2022 memoir, “I’m Glad My Mom Died.” Variety reports that the series will land at Apple TV+.

Here’s the logline: The series will follow the “heartbreaking and hilarious recounting of Jennette McCurdy’s struggles as a former child actor while dealing with her overbearing, domineering mother (Aniston). The dramedy will center on the the codependent relationship between an 18-year-old actress in a hit kid’s show, and her narcissistic mother who relishes in her identity as ‘a starlet’s mother.’”
Deadline adds that filming will not impact Jennifer‘s participation in The Morning Show‘s fifth season, should it be renewed.
Jennette, meanwhile, will serve as co-showrunner of the series alongside Ari Katcher.
The 2022 memoir made major headlines for including lots of info from her Nickelodeon days – including when she stopped “liking” Ariana Grande.
