Kelly Clarkson is getting real about her daytime TV show.
The 43-year-old “Since U Been Gone” superstar spoke to fans about The Kelly Clarkson Show during her first concert in nearly six months on Friday night (May 9) at Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
“We haven’t done a show in a while, y’all, ’cause I have a talk show,” she told the crowd, via Page Six, explaining why she cannot realistically go on tour due to the demanding schedule.

“It’s like a whole other job,” she said onstage referencing her band, before noting that being a single mother also keeps her busy.
Kelly went on to say that she was “so happy” to have been able to book the two-night run.
“We are bummed ’cause we love doing shows, and it’s hard to fit it in, so it’s cool when it does work out with the schedule,” she said, adding: “and it’s cool to get to see your faces and feed off y’all. Thank you so much for having so much energy.”
Her comments about the show come amid ongoing speculation that she wants to quit The Kelly Clarkson Show once her contract expires next year.
The speculation began growing more this month when an NBC insider told The Post that network executives have allegedly already begun looking for a replacement.
The Kelly Clarkson Show premiered in September 2019 and celebrated its 1,000th episode in March.
She also just dropped a new single, inspired by a hit TV show.
