Kelly Rowland is speaking out about what happened on the red carpet at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival during that tense altercation with a security guard.

The 43-year-old singer was on the red carpet for the premiere of Marcello Mio on Tuesday (May 21) and the moment happened when she was walking up the stairs to the cinema.

“The woman knows what happened, I know what happened,” she told the Associated Press. “I have a boundary and I stand by those boundaries and that is it.”

Kelly said that there were “other women that attended that carpet who did not quite look like me and they didn’t get scolded or pushed off or told to get off.”

“I stood my ground and she felt like she had to stand hers,” she added.
