Kelsea Ballerini had to end a recent concert early and is postponing several upcoming dates on her Kelsea Ballerini Live Tour.

The 31-year-old country music star only played a few songs onstage at KeyBank Center in Buffalo, NY on Thursday night (February 6) before ending the show.

She took to social media in the aftermath to issue an explanation and to reveal new dates for the show and two others that have been moved back.

A few hours before the concert was scheduled to begin, Kelsea told fans that she had been under the weather but was starting to feel better. She said that she’d be taking the stage to perform.

“For those sweet angel humans asking, i’m feeling better. got some good rest (WOW I FORGOT HOW MUCH I LOVE SLEEP) and the meds are doing their job and i can’t wait to perform for you tonight. my voice is still a little raspy, but we’re gonna lean in (like the pheobe sexy voice) and i will see you on the stage. no way i’m letting you down,” she wrote in a post on her Instagram story.

However, Kelsea realized that she wasn’t well enough to get through the show. In a follow-up update on her story, she apologized to her fans and announced plans to postpone her February 7 show in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania and her February 8 show in Toronto, Ontario.

“Buffalo, I am so so sorry that I could not finish the show tonight. I am sicker than I am trying to be and I did not want to let anyone down tonight,” she said, adding, “I just got through the first few songs and I couldn’t do it. I’m so sorry, but I never want to give you a half a-s show.”

Kelsea revealed that the new dates would be April 11, 12 and 13.

“I will make them the best shows I’ve ever played in my whole life,” she vowed. “I will put out every stop for you and I will make it so worth it.”

She added that she’d be resting up so that she could get back out on the road as soon as possible.

“I hope you understand,” she said. “Thank you for the grace to be human and I love you.”

Kelsea recently appeared at the Grammys with boyfriend Chase Stokes. She also opened up about her relationship with her fellow coaches on The Voice.
