‘Landman’ Season 2? 1 Actor Speaks Out About Possibility of Paramount+ TV Show Renewal | Ali Larter, Andy Garcia, Billy Bob Thornton, Demi Moore, Jacob Lofland, James Jordan, Jon Hamm, Kayla Wallace, Landman, Mark Collie, Michael Pena, Michelle Randolph, Paramount Plus, Paulina Chavez, Television | Just Jared: Celebrity News and Gossip

Landman is one of the big new TV shows on Paramount+!

The series, co-created by Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan and based on Christian Wallace’s 2019 podcast Boomtown, follows Billy Bob Thornton’s Tommy Norris as he navigates the chaos of the oil industry in Texas, featuring stars like Jon Hamm and Demi Moore.

While the show just premiered on the streamer on Sunday (November 17), there’s already a few big updates regarding the possibility of a Season 2.

Landman has not yet been officially renewed for Season 2, but plans are confirmed.

In an interview with The Direct, co-creator Christian Wallace confirmed plans for a potential Season 2.

“As long as there are stories to tell, I would love to keep telling them,” he said. “And I think we really just skinned the surface on our first season, and that’s saying something because they cover a lot of ground. So yeah, I hope we keep telling these stories for a while.”

Co-creator Taylor Sheridan has produced four hit TV shows for Paramount+, and they have all lasted for two or more seasons, including Mayor of Kingstown, Tulsa King, Lioness, and 1923.

Later on in November, during an interview with TheWrap to discuss the show, Billy Bob Thornton was asked about Landman‘s future.

“I’m signed up for it. Ten years ago, it wouldn’t have been fun for me. But there’s a different perception now. All the actors want to be in streaming now. That’s where you get to develop a character. What director or writer or actor doesn’t want to be able to do a movie that they don’t cut to an hour and a half? It’s a director’s dream to do 10 hours of movie. An episode can be 48 minutes long, or it can be an hour and two minutes long. Unless you’re doing Marvel movies and stuff like that, the movie business is not really the place anymore,” he said.

Landman is also not billed as a miniseries or limited series, so there’s a high likelihood of a Season 2 renewal. Stay tuned as we wait to hear more a potential second season!
