Lea Michele has an exciting project in the works!

The former Glee actress made an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show‘s Thursday (May 22) episode and teased that there’s an announcement coming soon.

Lea taped the appearance on Wednesday (May 21) in New York City and performed a cover of Olivia Rodrigo‘s debut single “Driver’s License.” The performance was to promote Lea‘s current concert tour, in which she has a section dedicated to songs she thinks Rachel Berry would sing if Glee were still on TV right now.

While chatting with Kelly after the performance, Lea talked about what’s coming next.

“I have something exciting coming up that I’ll be announcing very soon,” she said.

Rumors have been swirling for years that Lea could be starring in a Broadway revival of the musical Chess and BroadwayWorld.com just announced that the show is officially returning in Fall 2025.

Michael Mayer, who directed Lea in Funny Girl and Spring Awakening, will direct the upcoming Chess production, so it seems likely these rumors might be true!
