Justin Timberlake, Jimmy Fallon Revive ‘Barry Gibb Talk Show’

Over 20 years after sketch first debuted, the singer and late-night host return as the Bee Gees brothers

Over 20 years after Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon first debuted “The Barry Gibb Talk Show” on Saturday Night Live, the duo revived the sketch on the latest episode.

The premise remains unchanged after two decades and a handful of sketches: Fallon and Timberlake’s Barry and Robin Gibb welcome politicians and experts onto their show, despite the Bee Gees brothers having little understanding of politics. Instead of a thought-provoking conversation on the subject, Barry instead berates the guests, while he and his brother sporadically break into song.

This episode’s guests were justice correspondent Elie Mystal (Kenan Thompson), Forward Party founder Andrew Yang (Bowen Yang, in a portrayal that Andrew himself approved) and politics influencer Joanne Carducci (SNL host Dakota Johnson), with a planned conversation about the 2024 presidential election. Instead, the discussion devolved into Barry singing about Saltburn, insults, and Fallon’s trademark attempts to not break character and crack up mid-sketch.

This marked the seventh “Barry Gibb Talk Show” sketch, and the first since December 2013; in that sketch — the first since Robin’s 2012 death — the real Barry Gibb himself made a cameo appearance alongside Fallon’s impersonation. The sketch first debuted in October 2003:
