With a new book just weeks away and a new movie slated for 2026, Hunger Games mania is back. To celebrate the upcoming release of Sunrise on the Reaping, a new box set of the series dropped last month.

The four-book paperback collection comprises the original series, The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, and Mockingjay, as well as the 2020 prequel, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. Additionally, a new box set that includes Sunrise on the Reaping will arrive on June 3, 2025. It’s available for preorder now.

The Hunger Games, pardon the pun, caught fire when it was first published in 2008 and was a huge influence on the now-blossoming dystopian YA genre. The series, written by Suzanne Collins, focuses on a televised battle to the death, in which lower-class competitors fight for the entertainment of the elite. Katniss Everdeen, played by Jennifer Lawrence in the films, emerges as an unlikely hero.

The latest paperback reissue is produced by Scholastic, the original publisher of the YA series, and features a stenciled edge design, new covers, and foil stamping. The original trilogy focuses on Katniss, while The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is a prequel focused on Coriolanus Snow. Sunrise on the Reaping is the second prequel to the book trilogy, taking place after the events of Songbirds and Snakes and 24 years before The Hunger Games.

Fans who would rather collect the entire series can instead pre-order the new five-book box set, which also includes the soon-to-be-released Sunrise on the Reaping. The hardcover set, also from Scholastic, is available for pre-order now for its June 3 release.
