Nicholas Hoult Has Bill Skarsgard’s Prosthetic Penis Framed

Nicholas Hoult revealed what item from the Nosferatu set he has at home — but he didn’t take it himself.

The actor sat down with co-star Lily-Rose Depp for an interview with Elle, where the onscreen husband and wife asked each other prewritten questions. When she asked what is a prop or wardrobe piece he has taken from a set, he explained that a recent one was actually a gift from Nosferatu director Robert Eggers.

“I have Court Orlok’s prosthetic penis framed at home,” he told Depp. “There’s a scene where Bill Skarsgard is slurping my blood, and Robert Eggers asked afterward, ‘How was that for you?’ And I said, ‘I could feel his prosthetic penis on my leg.’ And then, as a wrap gift, Rob got it framed, and he sent it to my house.”

However, when the “gift” arrived, the frame had broken, so The Great star explained he had to take it to a local frame shop to get fixed.

“He kind of didn’t even blink the first time,” Hoult recalled of the clerk. “Then, when I went back to pick it up, I think he’d clocked like how weird it was that I was framing potentially this vampire penis, and he was like, ‘Is this some kind of collector’s piece?’ And I was like, ‘Hm, you could say that.’”

Hoult, Depp and Skarsgard star alongside Willem Dafoe, Emma Corrin and Aaron Taylor-Johnson in this year’s take on Nosferatu, which tells a gothic tale of obsession between Depp’s haunted young woman and Skarsgard’s terrifying vampire who’s infatuated with her, per the logline.

Hoult will next be seen on the big screen as Lex Luthor in James Gunn’s upcoming Superman.

Elsewhere in the conversation, The Idol star asked him who is the most active person in the group chat Man of Steel group chat and guessed it would be him.

“It’s not me. I’m not ever very active in group chats, because I get a little bit nervous,” he admitted. “Nathan Fillion is very good in the group chat because he has lots of GIFs of himself that he responds with. Also, it’s a lovely group chat to be in because everyone will sing Happy Birthday to each other, and we’ll take it line by line, and people record voice notes. That’s very sweet.”
