Kelly Clarkson Got Into 'Fight' With HR At Her Talk Show Over Weight Loss Comments — & She’s Still Mad About It!

Kelly Clarkson has a lot of pent-up frustrations related to her talk show!

Amid reports she’s ready to quit her NBC series after six seasons and a mysterious absence earlier this year, the performer finally took the stage again for a two-night run of concerts in Atlantic City, NJ, over the weekend. At Friday night’s show, she complained about how the grueling schedule keeps her from performing more — and the next night, she complained about the show’s HR team! Oh, she’s really done. LOLz!

According to Page Six and People on Tuesday, during Saturday’s concert, the Since U Been Gone hitmaker joked that she’d like “every motherf**ker that passes” her to comment on her 60-pound weight loss, which she accomplished last year. She feels so strongly about this that her passion resulted in her “nearly getting in a fight” with the human resources team at her show. OMG!

After thanking an audience member for calling her “sexy,” Kelly dished about her HR department:

“Every time I go to an HR meeting, I’m like, ‘How have I not been fired?’ I grew up on the road at 19 years old, you know what I’m saying? I’m like, ‘Oh, that is inappropriate. I would never.’”

She added:

“But they also say you’re not allowed to say someone looks attractive, and I say f**k that. Because some of those bitches are out here working, and we’re trying, and I want every motherf**ker that passes me to go, ‘Damn. Well done.’”

Hah! According to her HR crew, complimenting someone on their body transformation “might make people feel bad that they looked bad before” — which could be true. You never know what kind of journey someone is on with their weight and body image. However, when it comes to Kelly’s personal experience, she totally disagrees:

“I was fat before, so I’m saying I want you to say, ‘Damn.’”

She wants to be celebrated! That said, the vocalist did stress that there was “nothing wrong” with her previous body.

The American Idol winner said she “felt very confident” before dropping the weight in 2024 with the help of the popular weight loss drug semaglutide after she was diagnosed as “pre-diabetic.” But now that she’s experiencing the benefit of her slimmer body, she wants to feel proud about it. The songwriter told the crowd:

“I felt fine both ways, but I’m just saying it’s a lot more fun with clothes now. I’ve been working on it.”

After her rant, the 43-year-old joked she wouldn’t “call HR” over the fan’s “sexy” comment. As if realizing she was walking on thin ice by dissing the HR staff, she quickly clarified:

“It is not a joke. I know HR is not a joke, but it is really funny some of the things they talk about, and we’re like, ‘Oh no. We would never.’”

At this point, we’ll be more shocked if she does resign her contract once it expires next year…
