Patrick Schwarzenegger revealed the iconic superhero role that he auditioned for but did not get.

The 31-year-old actor is currently heating up our television screens in the third season of The White Lotus. He also made his superhero debut in Gen V, a spinoff series of The Boys.

During an appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Patrick opened up about auditioning for other projects, saying that actors “audition for hundreds of things” and only land a small amount of roles.

He was asked if he had tried out to play any other heroes and revealed that he had tried out for one very iconic role.

The hero in question was Superman. Patrick auditioned to play the hero in James Gunn Superman, which will premiere in the summer of 2025. David Corenswet landed the role.

Patrick said that he didn’t get to put on the hero’s iconic costume during the audition process and didn’t get very far into the process.

“I don’t think I got any feedback. I think it was like, ‘No, not for you,’” he recalled, adding that it opened the door for him to appear in The White Lotus instead.

The actor recently opened up about being the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger.
