Pete Davidson Reflects on His ‘Dream’ of Becoming a Dad on ‘Fallon’

After announcing he will welcome a child with Elsie Hewitt, Pete Davidson shared that it is his longtime “dream” to become a dad. During an appearance on The Tonight Show the comedian and actor confirmed “I did it!”
“For anybody who knows me it’s my dream to be a dad, so I’m so excited,” Davidson told host Jimmy Fallon. “Elsie’s excited. I’m excited to see her be a mom. So we’re stoked.”
Hewitt confirmed the news last week in an Instagram post, writing “Welp now everyone knows we had sex.” The couple reportedly began dating in March 2025 and made their public debut in May at the 13th Annual Blossom Ball.
“Everything else doesn’t really matter anymore,” Davidson told Fallon. “It’s nice.”
Davidson also spoke to Fallon about his stand-up tour and his upcoming films, thriller The Home and heist action comedy The Pickup, which also stars Eddie Murphy and Keke Palmer. Davidson recalled first learning about Murphy from Shrek, but eventually discovering the acclaimed comedian’s other work.
“He’s my hero,” Davidson noted of Murphy. “So it was amazing getting to work with him… Any comedian will tell you, it’s Eddie and then it’s everyone else.”
Later on The Tonight Show, Fallon tapped Davidson for a game called “Axe Me Anything,” where the pair threw axes and answered questions about their lives. During the game, the actor shared a memory from being backstage at Saturday Night Live and proved that he does not have any axe throwing skills. At the end of round, Davidson was forced to reveal the most famous person in his phone (Kevin Costner) and to send them a selfie.
