Popeyes Is Launching a New Festive Family Box

Popeyes is ready to get into the holiday spirit and celebrate with you. 

On Monday, the fast-food giant announced two new offerings: the Festive Family Box and Midday Mardi Gras Happy Hour.  

As the brand explained in a statement provided to Food & Wine, the Festive Family Box “bundles the best of Popeyes” and includes four pieces of its Bone-In Signature Chicken, four Tenders, four regular sides, and four Buttermilk Biscuits. 

“Popeyes chicken is marinated in mouthwatering Louisiana herbs and seasonings, then hand-battered and breaded in crunchy southern coating and fried until golden brown,” it added. “This convenient, all-in-one meal is available for a limited time at participating U.S. restaurants.” And it’s going for $20. 

The Festive Family Box, which Popeyes says will make your mealtime a “whole lot easier,” could be a welcome reprieve in between planning and cooking all those holiday meals. The box includes “multiple proteins and the freedom to choose your own sides for a customized dining experience,” so everyone at your table can get exactly what they want. 

But hang on. There’s more. Popeyes is also launching that Midday Mardi Gras Happy Hour, with $2, $3, and $5 deals exclusively for Popeyes Rewards Members. The deals will be available each week between Monday and Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m., including deals on sides like Cajun Fries, Mac & Cheese, Chocolate Chip Biscuits, or Mashed Potatoes for $2. It’s also offering its Frozen Lemonade for $3, and snacks like 3-piece Tenders or 2-piece Signature Chicken for $5. “It’s a taste of New Orleans flair right in the middle of the week,” the brand added. Rewards Members will find the deals on Popeyes.com or the Popeyes app.

While it’s not included in the deal, there is one more new way to enjoy Popeyes, and that’s by ordering its Ghost Pepper Chicken Sandwich. In October, the brand released its spicy addition, made with its buttermilk-battered chicken breast, pickles, and its new Ghost Pepper Sauce, infused with chiles for a little zing. It promised that the sauce has “just the right kick to make your taste buds tingle without overwhelming the senses,” which could just be the perfect way to end the holiday season and let your tastebuds ring in the new year in style.
