Pyrex’s $20 Reusable Water Bottle Changes Color

A healthy lifestyle takes a lot more than just working out—what you put into your body is just as important. Protein? Check. But what about hydration? This piece of the puzzle is a crucial component to overall health, especially during the heat of the summer.

I’ll be the first to admit it. In order to hydrate properly, I need to have the perfect reusable water bottle that motivates me to drink while I’m out and about. It needs to be crafted of safe, food-grade materials and have easy access to a straw or spout. But most importantly, this bottle needs to be cute, and bonus, if it has a special feature that shows me the temperature of the contents.

This Pyrex Color-Changing Glass Water Bottle does just that, and it’s going viral on the internet because of this feature. Simply fill it with cold water and watch how the exterior design springs to life with vibrant colors and patterns. (Makes you want to drink more, doesn’t it?)

This BPA-free glass water bottle is wrapped in a five-layer shatterproof silicone safety wall, so you don’t have to worry about the occasional drop onto concrete, either. (Believe me, I was worried, too!) Plus, it boasts a leak-proof locking lid that doubles as a carrying handle and houses a drinking spout for easy access whether you’re using it for your daily water intake or keeping your iced coffee near. So, toss it into your gym bag, or your kid’s backpack worry-free.

To fill the bottle, simply remove the screw cap to expose a narrow (but not too narrow) neck that is easy to fill from the sink, your refrigerator’s water spout, or a water fountain’s hydration station. Cleaning is easy too, and the lid can be washed in the top rack of your dishwasher.

One Amazon shopper said this is their favorite water bottle. (And they own many!) They praised the lid design, saying, “It’s the best lid ever! This is a slim grip, one-handed only opening bottle! You just slide the button up and press the lower half of the tab, and it opens.”

Another five-star reviewer called it a “fantastic water bottle, and fun, too,” and shared that after receiving it, they bought one in each of the seven styles. “It’s Pyrex, so it’s thick glass, easy to clean, and has a rubbery feel to it that keeps it from condensation,” they said.

I don’t know about you, but I’m totally sold! And if this viral water bottle—complete with its chameleon-like properties—motivates me to drink more, then, great! For just $20, I suggest you buy one for your car or gym bag, too, as it’s a small investment towards a healthier habit.
