Once summer rolls around, I’m on the lookout for the perfect throw-and-go dress. I want a no-fuss option that I can slip into on a hot summer day to go to the store, work, or a social gathering. This dress needs to be lightweight (never let them see you sweat) and travel-worthy, with a stand-alone style that doesn’t need extra accessories to make it cute.

100% Organic Cotton Keyhole Midi Dress

This flirty summer dress is my favorite of the bunch, with a ruched keyhole design that needs minimal accessorizing. It’s made of 100 percent organic cotton poplin for a lightweight feel that keeps you comfy, even on the hottest of summer days. The smocked bodice hugs your bodice for flattering support, and the adjustable tie-front accommodates most bust sizes (many reviewers claimed they could even go bra-less). One of the best things about this dress is its functional side-seam pockets—no purse required. This versatile dress is offered in five vibrant summer colors, and we think it’s certainly worth the price.

Organic Textured Cotton Smocked V-Neck Midi Dress

If you’re searching for a longer, flower dress—one that falls somewhere between a midi and a maxi—this smocked V-neck dress is for you. The bodice features a plunging neckline and flutter sleeves for an ultra-feminine look, and the textured, tiered skirt boasts an effortless drape for ease of movement. This 100-percent cotton dress is fully lined, and the front dorset button placket ends just above the knee, allowing for a sexy front slit. Personally, I love the Ballet Slipper color, but you’ll need to act fast to get it, as one reviewer said this dress is routinely sold out.
