American Love Story has found its Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy!

Nearly four years after Ryan Murphy announced his next FX anthology series, Variety reported on Friday (March 21) that Sarah Pidgeon will be playing John F. Kennedy‘s wife.

Keep reading to find out more…Carolyn grew up in New York and Connecticut before going to college at Boston University. After a brief modeling career, she moved to New York City and started working at Calvin Klein where she worked her way up to director of publicity and worked with the brand’s celebrity clients.

She began dating JFK Jr, the son of President John F. Kennedy and Jackie Kennedy, in 1994 and they married in 1996. Throughout their entire relationship faced intense scrutiny from the media with their lives frequently splashed across the tabloids.

Carolyn, John, and her older sister Lauren died in a plane crash off the coast of Martha’s Vineyard in 1999. Carolyn was 33 and John was 38.

Sarah, 28, is best known for starring in the Prime Video series The Wilds and in Hulu’s Tiny Beautiful Things.

As of right now, the actor that will be playing John F. Kennedy Jr. in American Love Story has not been announced.
