Shark’s Portable Fan Is My Summer Heat Must-Have

Not only am I not a fan of the heat or hot weather, but I also have two fluffy huskies who don’t understand how dangerous it can be to let them play outdoors for long periods this season. I live in the Midwest, and we don’t have much of a breeze in my area, unless a storm accompanies it. Being a dog owner in the summer means exercising caution, as the last thing I want is for my dogs to suffer from heat stroke. In an ideal world, I’d happily lug a portable air conditioner with me wherever I go, but for now, the next best thing is my Shark Flexbreeze HydroGo Fan.

I use this little guy every day and typically keep it in my office since one of my huskies likes to use my closet as his cave. My office is located in a converted attic with poor airflow, so it can reach temperatures of up to 80 degrees Fahrenheit by 2 p.m. This fan helps keep us both cool. Not only does this small but mighty portable fan deliver a strong flow of breeze of up to 70-feet for up to 12 hours on a single charge, but it also has a hidden misting feature that can help cool temperatures by up to 5 degrees, according to Shark. All of this power is wrapped up in a beautiful, 5-pound package. I have the pink version, but it also comes in 10 other fun colors like light green, lilac, and dark violet.

I only ever use the evaporative misting feature when I bring the fan outdoors, like to keep us fresh while we’re grilling or on our patio, which is where my dogs like to hang out and watch the world during the day. They’ve been able to stay outside a little longer than usual without overheating when this fan is out on the patio with them. (They ring a bell on the door when they want to come back in, and it’s been going off much less often.) I’ve also noticed how it feels way cooler and more comfortable for us when I set this up while we’re cooking or eating outside.

The fan features two misting modes (one consistent and the other interval-based), as well as five fan speeds. I find that the interval misting mode, combined with the third or fourth fan speed, has worked out for my dogs on the patio and me while I’m outdoors in the 90-degree weather. And I’ve found the mist to be ultra-fine, so it doesn’t soak our furniture or our dogs’ fur.

In the past couple of years, I’ve tried my fair share of weak portable fans, and nothing comes close to the power behind the Shark FlexBreeze HydroGo Fan. The fact that you can use it corded or on the go is a game-changer. Next time I go camping, I won’t leave the house without this fan in my car.

Even one five-star reviewer was adamant about how this portable fan stands up to the Texas heat. They said “the fan is easy to carry” to the pool, baseball fields, and their backyard, and despite the petite size, it “packs so much power.” They added, “It’s also very quiet and doesn’t distract other people in the stands near me at games.”

You’ll want to get your hands on the Shark FlexBreeze HydroGo Fan before the heat waves begin. Head to Amazon and grab it for $150. You can shop more customer-loved portable fan options below.
