Ben Affleck is looking back at his time as Batman.

If you forgot, the 52-year-old Oscar winner played the Caped Crusader in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice and in Suicide Squad both released in 2016, in 2017′s Justice League, in 2021′s Zack Snyder’s Justice League, and in The Flash released in 2023.

In a new interview, Ben revealed what he “hated” most about playing the character.

He continued, “There’s no thought put into the human being. So what happens is that you just start sweating. I’m already — I sweat, you know what I mean? So in that thing, you’d just be pouring water.”

While he said he had a “great time” filming Batman v. Superman, Ben said that he just could never get used to wearing the costume.

“It just made it difficult to make the movie because it was so hot and it also does not make you feel very heroic,” he explained, “because you’re instantly exhausted and really sweaty and kinda trying to hide the sweat pouring down your face like, ‘No, we can go again I’m fine, I’m good’ and the black eye is like running.”

Ben then wondered how the other actors that played Batman over the years dealt with wearing the suit.

“Maybe Christian [Bale] or Rob [Pattinson], guys like that, were just better at dealing with it,” Ben suggested, once again reiterating that the costume was the “least fun part” of his time as Batman.

In another recent interview, Ben opened up about dating again following his divorce from Jennifer Lopez.
