Did Selena Gomez Shade 'Embarrassing' Ex Justin Bieber For Crying On IG In New Song??

Fans had a feeling Selena Gomez planned to go after her most famous ex on her new album, but did anyone expect her to shade him… for crying?
The singer dropped I Said I Loved You First with her future hubby, Benny Blanco, on Friday, and a few tracks on the love-themed album are seemingly about one guy. And it’s not her fiancé! Sure, there are songs about him on the album! However, the ones we’re interested in at the moment deal with ex Justin Bieber.

She seems to throw some major jabs at him on the project, like in the hit Younger And Hotter Than Me, in which she sings:
“Wish I never loved you / We’re not gettin’ any younger / But your girlfriends seem to”
She says it’s about being replaced as a woman in the churn of the pop music and acting industry… but you can’t blame people for thinking she’s singing about Justin, who definitely dated a few girls younger than her after her, including Hailey Bieber, who is about four years younger.
But fans are especially focused on the track How Does It Feel To Be Forgotten, in which Selly sings:
“Cause you walked in, big-ass grin / Talkin’ like we’re friends, honey, what were you thinkin’? / He loves me, I love him / Look at you, just look at you now.”
“Look at you, just look at you now” harkens back to her 2020 song Look at Her Now, which is said to be about when she broke up with Justin for good two years before. So already listeners were convinced this was about JB. But then Selena seems to get in a major dig at the Yummy artist with the lyrics:
“You’re so embarrassing / Go cry when no one’s watchin’ / I can’t imagine it / How does it feel to be forgotten (Ah), forgotten? (Ah-ah).”
Yeesh, girl! That line, “Go cry when no one’s watchin’” — if that’s about JB, it’s so harsh! He has posted a few pictures of himself in tears on social media before! Like these ones (below):
Is she bashing him for crying? Or for crying crocodile tears for the public? Hmm…
But that’s not the only song possibly about the Biebs! Some fans think Selena also references her back-and-forth romance with Justin in Don’t Wanna Cry when she sings:
“Left the door wide open for the whole wide world to see you / Then you kiss her right in front of me like I’m not even there / I should cause a scene for s**t you’ve done to me / The saddest part is we both know that I would never leave.”
“You kiss her right in front of me”… Is she talking about Hailey?
Damn…
Of course, Selena has not come out and said these songs are about Justin or any other ex. It’s also worth noting that the Only Murders In The Building star warned everyone on Spotify‘s Countdown To that the entire album “isn’t just about my life,” adding:
“I would like to say most of this album has nothing to do with what everyone may go to. And I think it’s important for me to say that because I’ve evolved so much, and I have experienced life with new people. I’ve had to go through transitions with friends and lose people in my life and gain new people, and I’ve had a whole new life forever.”
However, Selena and Justin got together in 2010 and had a rocky on-and-off again relationship for years until she ended things for good in 2018, so she has a lot of inspiration and material to pull from to create songs! We wouldn’t be shocked if a few of these on her new album were about him! Perhaps, it was her way to get a couple of last words out about Justin before she closed the door on that chapter in her life musically! Take a listen to the possibly Bieber-inspired tracks (below):
